Moise Rabesca Obituary, A Life Dedicated To Service – Death
Moise Rabesca Obituary, Death Cause – It is with heavy hearts that we come together to mourn the loss of Moise Rabesca, a cherished member of our community and a valuable contributor to the Wek’èezhìı Renewable Resources Board (WRRB). Moise’s passing has left a void that is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Moise’s journey was one of resilience and connection to the land he called home. Raised on an island in the North Arm of Great Slave Lake, he grew up surrounded by the beauty and challenges of the north. With ten brothers and sisters in his blended family, he learned the art of survival and the profound wisdom of the land. These lessons became a part of his being and were invaluable when he became a part of our community.
Moise’s dedication to his community extended to his role as a former Board Member of the Wek’èezhìı Renewable Resources Board. His insights and experiences were instrumental in shaping our decisions regarding wildlife and land in Wek’èezhìı. As a member of the NWT Species at Risk Committee (SARC), he brought his unique perspective and knowledge, enriching our understanding of the delicate balance between human needs and the preservation of nature.
As we navigate this time of mourning, let us remember and honor Moise’s legacy. May his spirit continue to guide us, reminding us of the importance of our connection to the land and the responsibility we hold as stewards of its resources. To his family and loved ones, we extend our deepest condolences and gratitude for sharing Moise with us. He will be deeply missed, but his influence will live on through the actions we take and the decisions we make in his memory.
