Marvin Washington Obituary, Death – During his 12 years of service at the university, Marvin has taught students at every level: undergraduates, graduates, and even executives. Dr. Washington’s professional experience includes stints with a wide range of companies, including Bayer, Core Mark, Stantec, Enbridge, AIMCo, Blue Cross, YMCA, Delnor, Crowe Mackay, Parkland Fuels, Syncrude, and SportChek, as well as a number of ministries and agencies within the provincial government of Alberta and the municipal government of Edmonton.
Marvin Washington was a much-loved local of Newport, Rhode Island, and his loss is something that comes with a great deal of sadness on our part. Marvin left this world on [Date of Passing], and he did so while he was surrounded by the people he loved. His legacy will be one of warmth, friendliness, and a powerful feeling of community for all who come after him. Dr. Washington has collaborated with senior officials in the government and business sectors of Botswana and Mexico, in addition to the states of Texas, Oklahoma, and California.

In addition to this, the University of Alberta bestowed upon him the “Last Lecture Series” award in 2017, which is presented annually to the instructor who former students and graduates of the university consider to have had the greatest influence on them during their time there. At the present time, he holds the position of Academic Director in both the Executive Program and the Alberta Health Services Executive Leadership program at the Alberta School of Business’s Executive Education Faculty. In addition to receiving the 2013 McCalla Professorship for Teaching Effectiveness from the University of Alberta, Dr. Washington has been recognized as the recipient of two MBA awards for teaching excellence
