Lisa Smith Obituary, Death- Lisa Marie Smith, who was 47 years old and lived in Bloomington, Illinois, passed away on August 7, 2023. Those who were fortunate enough to have known her will grieve her passing greatly. A funeral service for Lisa will be performed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington on August 12, 2023, at eleven in the morning local time. The ceremony will be presided over by Pastor Chuck Bahn. On Friday, August 11, 2023, visitation will be place from 4 until 7 o’clock in the evening at the church.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Lisa was a problem-solver by nature, and she enjoyed conducting research and analysis both at work and at home. She never hesitated to lend people the benefit of her technical skills when they needed it. She spent some time early in her life working as a camp counselor at the Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center because she enjoyed being outside and being in nature. Lisa placed her top priority, above all else, on spending time with her family.

She adored being able to be at all of her children’s concerts and sporting activities since she was so incredibly proud of her offspring, from the good hearts they possessed to their musical abilities. The family would like to offer their most sincere gratitude to the medical staff at the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa. nearly the course of nearly two years, their medical expertise and Lisa’s dogged persistence allowed her to continue caring for her children, accompanying them to their activities, and creating memories with those who loved her.

There will be a burial at Funks Grove Cemetery, which is located in rural McLean. Bloomington’s Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is in charge of making the necessary arrangements. Peoria, Illinois is the place where Roger and Denice Lambert Stranz welcomed their daughter Lisa into the world on October 31, 1975. She attended Limestone Community High School and Eastern Illinois University and received degrees from both of those institutions.

Lisa’s 25-year work with State Farm Insurance as a technical architect allowed her to indulge her passion for mathematics and put it to good use. There, she made the first of many lifelong connections with Thomas “Tom” Smith. On April 17, 2004, the ceremony took place in Bartonville. Lisa is left by her husband, their two children, Clara and Colton, their parents, sister Michelle (Justin) Hansen of Peoria, brother Randall (Dr. Nancy) Stranz of Beverly Hills, Michigan, several nieces and nephews, extended family, and a close-knit circle of friends.
