Jake Katzenberger Obituary, Learn More About Jake Katzenberger Death

Jake Katzenberger Obituary, Death – Jake Katzenberger, our much-loved son, went away on August 3, 2023, when he was only seven years old. Jake was born on January 13, 2016, in the Ann Arbor location of the University of Michigan Hospital.

Jake had only recently graduated from the first grade at the St. Charles Elementary School. Jake was a joyful, loving, and compassionate little kid. He was also goofy and full of energy. Wrestling, soccer, and baseball were three of his favorite sports. Swimming, climbing trees, and riding his bike were some of Jake’s other favorite activities. Roblox and Minecraft were at the top of Jake’s list of preferred video games. Jake’s time spent with his family in the cabin they owned in Oscoda left him with some of his fondest memories. The two things that Jake cared about the most in the world were his family and his dog, Winston.

Jake is survived by his loving parents: Jason and Angela Katzenberger, best friend & sister Ellie, grandparents: Neil and Linda Katzenberger, Jesse and Pam Quiroga; aunts and uncles: Stephanie Katzenberger, Brian Katzenberger, Jessica (Andrew) Rood, Katie O’Farrell, Joel (Ashley) Katzenberger; special cousins: Kennedy, Dylan, Steven, William, Claire, Dakota, Brianna, Jace, Vivian, as well as many other loving relatives.

Nana Ellen K. Zimmer, Jake’s maternal grandmother, passed away before him. The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff members working in the pediatric intensive care units at both Hurley Medical Center in Flint and Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw.

Jake was a genuine superhero who took great joy in assisting others in need. His loved ones are overjoyed and filled with gratitude at the realization that his legacy will continue on in the form of the children whose lives he improved by donating his organs.

On the following Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at eleven in the morning, a funeral service will be performed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, which is located at 808 Weiss Street in Saginaw. The ceremonies will be presided over by Rev. Michael R. Korte and Rev. Charles F. Buckhahn. Following the funeral rituals, the cremation that the family requested will take place in honor of their wishes.

On Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, friends and family will be available for visitation at W. L. Case and Company, located at 4480 Mackinaw Rd. in Saginaw. Those who are considering how to show their condolences might want to think about donating to the Gift of Life of Michigan or the Humane Society.
