Gordon Thompson Obituary, Death – On the morning of Friday, June 30, 2018, an unexpected death occurred at the residence of Gordon Allen Thompson, who was 67 years old. He is survived by his wife, Charlene S. “Sandy” Thompson, who resides at the family home; a son, Christopher A. “Chris” Thompson, and his fiancée, Cheryl Tripp; his daughters, Shannon Stuckey and her husband Lee of Kenly, and Ashley T. Robertson and her husband Zachary of Youngsville; and two brothers.
He was married to Charlene S. “Sandy” Thompson. Gordon will be remembered as an ardent follower of Christianity who had a tremendous affection for his wife, children, and grandkids. This aspect of Gordon’s life will be a defining characteristic of his legacy. In addition to that, he was a loving and dedicated partner to his wife. In addition to that, he found great pleasure in going camping and spending as much time as he could in the great outdoors, especially when he was with his grandchildren.
In particular while he was among his grandchildren. Gordon had great joy in taking part in the worship services that were held at his local church, Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness, where he had been active for a great many years and served in a variety of positions. He had been a member of this church since he was a little boy. The Thompson family resides in Goldsboro and consists of Ronnie Thompson, his wife Mary, Linwood Thompson and his wife Joyce, all of whom also live in Goldsboro, and his sister Margaret Rashaw and her husband Craig, both of whom also live in Goldsboro.
In addition, Gordon is survived by his great-grandchild who goes by the name Kaysleigh Rowe, his granddaughters Sarah Thompson, Brianna Rowe, Allison Stuckey, Abby Stuckey, Rylie Stuckey, and Chase Robertson, as well as his special K-9 companions who go by the names Kylee and Max. Included in this group are the Stuckey siblings Gordon, Rylie, Allison, and Abby, as well as Sarah Thompson and Brianna Rowe.
