Andy Davies Obituary, Andy Davies Has Passed Away – Death
Andy Davies Obituary, Death – Andy Davies was a wonderful representative of the club, having worked there in the past as both a coach and a member of the executive committee. The news of his departure has left us completely astonished and unspeakably heartbroken. Andy brought his grandson to the Soccer Centre, where, in the same way as the bulk of the coaches do, he was “encouraged” to assist with the instruction of the younger kids. Andy also accompanied his grandson.
He did this with a great lot of zest and never missed an opportunity to urge the children to play in a carefree manner.
After that, he joined our committee, which proved to be an enormous asset in acquiring the licenses we required for our indoor sessions, and he was a member of our committee. In recent times, he has been working as the Ambassador at Eastwood, where he meets and greets customers and workers every Saturday morning.
Andy’s enthusiasm was the primary factor that contributed to his success in convincing a sizeable number of parents to take on the role of teachers at the club. As a consequence of this, the club was able to increase the number of slots that it had open to accommodate children that spanned a larger range of ages and levels of expertise.
Andy exemplified the values upon which the club was founded and which it continues to function to this day during the course of his more than 20 years of service as a volunteer. Our condolences and prayers go out to his grieving family as well as the many friends and loved ones he leaves behind. Funeral services for Andy are scheduled to take place at the Linn Crematorium on Monday, August 14, at 11 in the morning.
